Just a Dad's random thoughts following the loss of a child

Welcome to my ramblings.

(I should add I'm not IT savvy, so these thoughts will likely be out of order as I had previously tried another platform to no avail)

About My Blog

As I write this one month has passed since we lost my best friend, our eldest son. He was only 30 and had his whole life ahead of him.

Since his tragic and unexpected passing our lives have been turned upside down and I have naturally been contemplating the fragility of life and how devastating a situation we find ourselves in. I liken it to a club where nobody should ever become a member.

Many times I have jotted thoughts and feelings down and thought a blog that only I will know exists, and nobody will ever read, could be a way for me to find my way through the grief that currently engulfs me.

Should you have somehow found this and have suffered the loss of a child or loved one, maybe you too share these emotions and can take some reassurance that you aren’t alone.

Apparently grief gets easier in time, but I cannot see past the raw emotions of the present.

I am no writer, or IT expert, so this is just a series of thoughts jotted down to help them leave my mind. They will likely be in no discernible order, as there are scraps of paper everywhere and notes on my phone, and often make no sense. We are a private family, so I won’t name anyone either.

See, told you I’d be rambling!

Miss you more than you will ever know; until we can be together again. X
